She walked home on a normal afternoon.
Hadn't seen her sister since she ran away from school.
They'd mocked her once again.
The words never seemed to end.
That's when she saw her, and the girl's heart nearly stopped.
Her big sister hung in the stairwell on a rope drawn taught.
Life long departed, eyes glazed and empty.
The little girl stared unable to breathe.
Books fell from her dead fingers and she went to her knees.
Tears ran down her cheeks and she couldn't halt the screams.
Those words had been the last straw.
Scars had been torn open and left raw.
She decided this was the last time,
They'd have the power to destroy her life.
Thought this was the path to peace,
When her heart finally would cease.
But now the broken pieces are left for those whom she loved,
When at last she chose to give up.
Today was her last day,
As her soul fades to gray.
She stared at the casket with a soul gone numb.
This is what they'd made her sister become.
She couldn't even feel her parents embrace,
As she stared at her sibling's ashen face.
Today had been the last straw.
Scars had been torn open and left raw.
She decided this was the last time,
They'd have the power to destroy her life.
Thought this was the path to peace,

But now the broken pieces are left for those whom she loved,
When at last she chose to give up.
Today was her last day,
As her soul fades to gray.
That day had pushed her over the edge,
With the things that those kids said.
Claimed it would be better if she'd never lived.
And she had no fight left to give.
Would it have made a difference if they'd known,
She was going to die once she reached home?
Today had been the last straw.
Scars had been torn open and left raw.

Please know I'm sorry,
Hate drove you to this.
Oh why were you left in agony?
Each word created your desire for the dark abyss.
Believed the lies until you drowned in their sea.
Easing the sorrow became your only wish.
Pain can sometimes seem too great.
Regret is the companion of those who live still.
Inside your heart the grief ate away.
Never realized you were drowning in fear until,
Clouds drew over your last day.
Ebony dwells in the space that you used to fill.

I am not
I’m not your little boy.
You’re not my little girl.
I’m just someone you met,
And wants to change the world
I’m not the prince in your dreams
I don’t have smarts or might
I’m just the one that screams
And cries to sleep at night
I’m not who you want me to be.
I will never be what you are.
I’m myself, I am free.
I’m not ashamed of my scars
I’m not that weak
You’re not that strong
You still have company
But I’m still alone
So I speak
Though this poem.
It’s not a pretty love song
I’m just saying what pains me, explaining what’s going on
Literature
I long to set this world aflame.
I once dreamt of ashes and dragons,
as dark ravens loomed over my sleeping form,
planting cadaver kisses along my neck.
Stepping into a river of colors, I contemplated
smoke halos and the unlit cigarette between my teeth.
I asked myself if all of this was worth it-
gasoline rainbows painting landscapes along my thighs.
I'd never smoked a day in my life, but I liked to play with fire.
[Light a match and watch me burn. ]

In Case You're Bored
In Case You're Bored:
For those who are bored with seeing teenage relationships on the FP. Here is a bonus, Disturbed-style, Chen piece to entertain you all.
What Lives Inside of Me:
Locked away inside
Dreaming of evil rising up in me
Let me play with your-
I will break through the walls of sanity
Leave me pure inside
Take away all of my humanity
Will I kneel before-
The corpses stained by the need for your sanctity?
Will you be mine? Or will I break you again-
The beast is swelling up inside of me
A temptuous lie, from the moment that you denied
The demon that you knew you grew to be
The swirling mist of a blood red fog...

this is beautiful.
It makes me think of why, when things get overbearing and I think I can't go on, I don't seriously consider taking my life. I wouldn't want my little angel sister to have to deal with that.
